University Studies

Randy Bouldin, Vice Provost for Academic Affairs
Teresa Williams, University Registrar

The University Studies program provides students with the opportunity to integrate areas of study that are of special interest to them.  This flexibility allows the student to create a combination of courses that may not exist in other degree programs.  This option may appeal to students who have specific post-baccalaureate degree paths in mind. Students involved in the University Studies major should contact the UIniversity Registrar.

Program Curriculum

Students majoring in University Studies can earn either a Bachelor of Science or a Bachelor of Arts degree. The major requires the completion of 50 hours specific to the University Studies program. Students are required to select either two 12-hour concentrations or one 24-hour concentration.  In addition to the concentration classes, students must complete 12 hours of foundation courses (beyond what is taken for General Education), 12 hours of upper-division coursework, and a 2-hour Capstone Experience course.
