PR 6213 - Communicating Public Health Epidemiology and Risk Communication (3)

This course provides an overview of the key aspects of communicating health information and risk messages to the public. This includes a review of communicating epidemiology and risks as well as aspects of seeking changes in public health literacy and behavioral compliance. Factors of persuasive risk communication reviewed include purposes, methods, audience analysis, techniques, messages, modalities, as well as topical, social, cultural and ethical variables.
