PR 6313 - Seminar in Public Relations (3) F


This seminar provides a comprehensive introduction to the academic and professional fields of Public Relations (PR). Public relations (PR) is the mass communication based practice of communication on behalf of an individual (e.g. celebrity) or an organization (such as a business, government agency, NGO, or a not-for-profit organization) with the constituent public(s) which have an implicit or explicit relationship with the individual or organization. Using scholarly theories, models, constructs and research findings, the course covers the types, functions, techniques, channels, strategies and tactics of public relations.
