PR 6Xn3  - Special Topics in Public Relations (3)

Special topics course subject topics are developed to cover emerging issues or specialized content not represented in the regular curriculum. These include topic areas that address a current or timely focal area, utilize the subject matter expertise of full time or guest faculty members, address specialized graduate student interest areas, or in the judgment of the graduate faculty positively supplement the regular curricular offerings. Some special topics may be offered on a periodic basis and others may be offered as a “pilot” offering before being adopted as a regular course offering elective or requirement, or that are simply one-time offerings. The special topics course may be available regular but the course topics - focal areas can vary from term to term. Possible special topics might include inquiry into a specific PR area (e.g. entertainment/celebrity PR, political PR, event production, destination or tourism PR, lobbyist PR, etc.) examining aspects such as emerging issues, trends, research applications, specialized contexts, and/or interdisciplinary aspects of the special topic.
