The 36-hour competency-based version of the Master of Arts in Christian Ministry is comprised of four certificates specifically focused on professional skills important to pastoral work. Whether you are part of a staff of a congregation or serve in a voluntary capacity as a leader, the MACM (CBE) will equip you for greater Kingdom service in a variety of settings.
The four certificates include:
Certificate in Pastoral and Self Care (9 hours)
Certificate in Discipleship and Mission (9 hours)
Certificate in Ecclesial Formation (9 hours) - available summer 2020
Certificate in Collaborative Leadership (9 hours) - available summer 2020
The program is flex pacing, which means you complete the courses as you have time rather than in traditional semester formats. Students pay a subscription fee each semester to access the learning management system. Once a course is completed, credits are granted. Once all coursework in a certificate area is completed, a certificate is granted. When all four certificates are completed, the masters is granted.
To enroll in the MACM (CBE), you must be involved in one of our partner congregations. This degree is only available through those partnerships. To learn more, please contact the director of the Hazelip School of Theology, Dr. Frank Guertin.
