BMS 5899 - Biomolecular Science Thesis (9) In this course, students will write an original research proposal and conduct the necessary laboratory experiments, data collection, and data analysis to complete the aims of the proposal. The final product of this course is a thesis manuscript that must be approved by the thesis committee detailing original research results and will be presented and defended orally to the student’s committee. Students will apply the research methods learned in BMS 5143 to rigorously address an in-depth scientific question. Experimental design, molecular biology laboratory techniques, data collection, statistical analysis, and scientific writing will be emphasized through this course.
Approval by the program director and faculty mentor; minimum grade of A in all prerequisite laboratory classes.
