CO 6313 - Seminar in Health Communication (3) SU

This seminar provides a comprehensive introduction to the communication sub-discipline of health communication. Health communication focuses on the study and practice of communicating health information, communicating risk information, public communication campaigns aimed at changing behaviors, health literacy communication, and communication between health care providers as well as between health care provider and patient. The course covers the relevant theories, models, research findings and communication best practices for successful health communication.
