ED 3543 - Instructional Methods for Special Education (3)

Educating students with disabilities requires knowledge about the general curriculum, instructional strategies, and learning theories while balancing the special accommodations and strategies that might be needed based on a learner’s learning style. This course will introduce both general and specialized curricula that might be used with students with disabilities. Research- based instructional methods for problem solving, comprehension, memory, and other related deficits will also be discussed. Special Education majors will take a 3 hour practicum course along with this course in which students can observe and practice the instructional strategies they are learning.
