ED 3343 - Cultural Perspectives in Education (3) F, SP


This course is to develop an appreciation of the cultural differences in classrooms; a sensitivity to the needs of students and families living in poverty; and relationships with peers, teachers and students in schools. Significant time will be spent in school settings. Journal writing, readings and reflection papers will be assigned to develop reflective practitioners. The course may be offered during Maymester as a trip into a culturally diverse environment. Travel fee will be extra for international trips.

Prerequisite: Admission to the program.
This course may satisfy a LIGHT requirement.
