SPMG 3113 - Facilities and Event Management (3) SP

This course provides student with the essentials of managing facilities and planning and funding events in the sport and leisure industry focusing on specific strategies for organizing and executing events in these settings. Topics will include managing the facility, crowd management, safety and security, booking and scheduling, risk management, event planning and logistics, budget development, sponsorships, contract and negotiations, customer service, and working with collegiate, private, public, and community entities.
