PERF 5351 - Principles & Practice in Perfusion Technology III (1)

Principles & Practices in Perfusion Technology III provides a detailed foundation and skill set necessary to understand more advanced topics related to the science of extracorporeal technology and future perspectives. The course will include non-cardiac applications of cardiopulmonary bypass and perfusion techniques used infrequently. Students will be assigned various topics of perfusion care for presentation in a professional format (written presentations with adequate references, accompanied by PowerPoint or other visual presentation aids). Professional presentation of scientific material in a small public forum plays an important part of this course, intended to assist the student in preparing for professional presentation of scientific material in larger public arenas (for example, scientific presentations at professional meetings, presenting as an instructor in an educational setting, etc.). This course is the third course of a three-course series and encompasses the main body of the perfusion knowledge base.
