EG 6343 - Curriculum Design and Development (3)


Analysis of curriculum standards, identification of appropriate goals and objectives, articulation of formative and summative assessments that allow students to demonstrate achievement and implementation of effective instructional strategies will be considered. The student candidate will investigate the role of school leadership in the curriculum implementation, mapping, gap analysis, pacing, response to intervention (RTI) and assessment procedures, and will cultivate an appreciation for academic and cultural diversity. Leadership, including servant and transformative leadership, to improve educational outcomes and to facilitate shared responsibility for instructional decisions will be discussed.  Additional requirements at the Ed.S. level.
