EECE 4254 - Microprocessors (4) SP


The theory and application of microprocessors, including architecture, hardware considerations and programming methods in both assembly- and higher-level languages. Theory and practice of analog-to-digital conversion, synchronous and asynchronous communications, timing, and real-time interrupts. In the laboratory, students design, build and test assignments involving state-of-the-art microprocessors, sensors and output devices.

Prerequisites: CS 2323 EECE 3234  with a grade of “C” or higher, and EECE 3813   with a grade of “C” or higher.
Lecture, 3 hours;
Laboratory 3 hours.
