  1. MCAT Concentration Track: Students shall choose electives (which may exceed 13 hours) from the list of minimum required courses to sit for the official MCAT exam, which at present includes at least one year of university level courses in each of the following: biology, organic chemistry, physics, mathematics, and English. For specific details of the required courses, the student’s course program plan shall be reviewed and approved by the student’s advisor in consultation with the respective departments of the courses listed above.

  2. Bioinformatics & Technology Concentration Track: Students shall choose electives to support academic and professional career goals and objectives in consultation with, and approval by, the student’s advisor.

* A minimum grade of “C” is required

** This major does not include the minimum prerequisites necessary for application to medical or dental school. Students who wish to use this degree to prepare for graduate programs in the allied health sciences should consult their advisor and/or the Health Professions Advisory Office for information on specific additional prerequisite science course work.
