Master of Arts, Film and Creative Media

The Master of Arts or M.A. (36 hours) in Film and Creative Media allows students to focus on screenwriting or film studies.  Students in screenwriting will be prepared with the knowledge and skills to write for film or television.  Students in film studies may want to move on to get a PhD in Film Studies in order to work in research, academics or in commercial areas of writing about film.  Critical thinking about story, structure, and film theory is examined throughout the program giving students in either focus, strong foundations for screenwriting and writing about films.
