The Reading Specialist Endorsement for Interventionists in Tennessee is designed to address the critical need for highly trained literacy professionals who can provide targeted, research-based interventions to support student reading achievement. As literacy proficiency remains a cornerstone of academic success and long-term opportunities, this endorsement ensures that educators are equipped with the advanced knowledge and skills required to support diverse learners, implement effective literacy instruction, and lead school-wide literacy initiatives. This program aligns with state and national standards, including the International Dyslexia Association (IDA) and the International Literacy Association (ILA), ensuring that candidates develop expertise in evidence-based literacy practices and intervention strategies.
