The Special Education degree is designed to prepare candidates for working in the K-12 classroom with students with disabilities. With this degree, candidates have the ability to receive a special education license with K-8/6-12 Interventionist and K-12 Comprehensive endorsements. Candidates must successfully complete admission requirements for entry into the Teacher Education Program. Upon formal admission to the Teacher Education Program, candidates must take and pass the appropriate PRAXIS II content exams in order to enroll in Student Teaching (Clinical Experience Lab III) as well as complete and pass edTPA to be recommended for licensure.
