The K-5 Elementary Education with ELL is a dual degree program.  With this degree, candidates have the ability to receive a K-5 interdisciplinary teaching license and endorsement to teach K-12 ELL, allowing candidates to work with multilingual learners.  Candidates must successfully complete admission requirements for entry into the Teacher Education Program.  Upon formal admission to the Teacher Education Program, candidates must take and pass the appropriate PRAXIS II content exams in order to enroll in Student Teaching (Clinical Experience Lab III).  To see the required tests, please visit the ETS website for TN Required Tests: https://praxis.ets.org/state-requirements/tennessee-tests.html.  Select the “Required Tests” tab at the top and then look at the Elementary Education AND English as a Second Language sections to see required exams (please note that due to your coursework, the ELL exam may not be required; please speak with your faculty mentor).
