Education: Elementary Education K-5, with Special Education licensure (BS)

The K-5 Elementary Education & Special Education K-8 is a dual degree program that is designed to prepare candidates for working in the PK-8 classroom. With this degree, candidates have the ability to receive a K-5 interdisciplinary teaching license and endorsement in special education to teach individuals with disabilities in a K-8 school. Candidates must successfully complete admission requirements for entry into the Teacher Education Program. Upon formal admission to the Teacher Education Program, candidates must take and pass the appropriate PRAXIS II content exams in order to enroll in Student Teaching (Clinical Experience Lab III) as well as complete and pass edTPA to be recommended for licensure. 8 hours of Foreign Language for the B.A. degree.
