Integrated Birth - Grade 3, B.P.S.

The Integrated Birth - Grade 3 program is designed to prepare candidates for working in the Birth - Grade 3 classroom. With this degree, candidates have the ability to receive an Integrated Birth - Grade 3 license. Candidates must successfully complete admission requirements for entry into the Teacher Education Program. 

 

Specific outcomes and learning objectives for Integrated Birth - Grade 3 initial licensure programs include:

  1. Analyze strengths and weaknesses of early learners.

  2. Develop individualized education plans that meet the needs of early education students with disabilities within an integrated setting.

  3. Choose and implement appropriate early education curriculum, instructional strategies, and evidence-based practices to teach all learners within an integrated setting.

  4. Learn techniques for analyzing student behavior, utilizing technological resources, implementing embedded instruction, and applying classroom management strategies appropriate for early learners.

Electives: (3 hours)
