EECE 3624 - Microprocessors: Principles and Applications (4) F The theory and application of microprocessors, including architecture, hardware considerations and programming methods in both assembly- and higher-level languages. Theory and practice of analog-to-digital conversion, synchronous and asynchronous communications, timing, and real-time interrupts. In the laboratory students design, build and test electronic systems involving state-of-the-art microprocessors, sensors and output devices.
Prerequisite: EECE 2423 Principles of Computer System Design with a grade of “C” or higher, EN 3143 Lecture, 3 hours; Laboratory, 3 hours Satisfies EECE 4254 Microprocessors
