BMS 5423 - Neurobiology (3) This course discusses the principles that govern neural activity. Focus is on the development of the nervous system, the interactions between neurons through neurotransmitters, electrical properties of neurons, neural receptors, synaptic transmission and sensory transduction. Additionally students will discover how the anatomy of the central nervous system dictates function and how the molecular biology of the neuron results in specified behavior, memory and sensory function.
