EG 5193 - Teaching of History/Social Sciences (3)

This course will offer students the opportunity to learn content and pedagogical knowledge in lesson planning, classroom practices, and materials needed to effectively teach History/Social Sciences. Students will think like historians and social scientists as they search for patterns, ask questions, find evidence, debate, and develop frameworks for how to think about the world. Students will learn how to engage their own students in knowing and understanding history and will understand how to get students to think deeply about social issues through critical thinking, problem-solving, research, and analysis of information.
