CMU 3033 - Studio Arranging and Improvisation (3) S


The art of arranging for a Nashville-centric studio tracking session within a digital workspace. Course content includes soundscape studies, frequency analysis and the function of instrumentation, improvisation, and trends in arranging. Students should have competency in DAW editing and programming, chord spelling and voicings, music notation, and the Nashville number system. Application of content will be made to both Songwriting and Music Production majors.

Prerequisite: Minimum grade of “C” in CMU 2033  or CMU 2053
