ED 3543 - Instructional Methods for Special Education (3) F Educating students with disabilities requires knowledge about the general curriculum, instructional strategies, and learning theories while balancing the special accommodations and strategies that might be needed based on a learner’s learning style. This course will introduce both general and specialized curricula that might be used with students with disabilities. Research- based instructional methods for problem solving, comprehension, memory, and other related deficits will also be discussed. Special Education majors will take a 3 hour practicum course along with this course in which students can observe and practice the instructional strategies they are learning.
