ED 3001 - Creative Arts for Young Children (1) S

This course is designed to explore principles, concepts, and tools of inquiry for enhancing instruction and divergent thinking through the integration of visual arts, music, movement, and dramatic creative expression into the curriculum. Infusing the arts into the early childhood curriculum is well-documented to enhance children’s cognitive skills, social and emotional development, and divergent thinking. This course will equip candidates to effectively integrate the arts in ways that meaningfully enhance the learning process. Arts integration is beneficial for personal expression, cultural perspectives, joy, and nurturing a sense of community.
