PHAD 2403 - Health Care Delivery & Outcomes (3)

Upon successful completion of the course, the student will understand how the U.S. health care system operates and various reimbursement mechanisms available via government and the private sector. The student will be able to appreciate current issues, challenges, and opportunities, in pharmaceutical reimbursement, pharmacist services, and how pharmaceuticals contribute to the overall cost and efficiency of health care. The student will be able to describe current public health issues, understand public health policy, and advocate for patients and the pharmacy profession.
