PERF 5433 - Concepts of Disease (3)

The goal of this course is to provide the student with an understanding of the general disease process in order to equip the clinician in making optimal pharmacotherapeutic decisions. The course will explore pathophysiologic processes, diagnostics, and laboratory abnormalities to give the student a more comprehensive view of the cardiac diagnostic and surgical patient populations. Additionally, the attributes related to co-morbidities will emphasis a global understanding of the disease state to enhance perfusion care practices.
