MA 2413 - Mathematics of Finance (3) F of odd numbered years

This course is intended to support students in preparing for the Finance Mathematics portion of the exams of the Society of Actuarie;:to develop and demonstrate competence modeling and solving financial problems related to the topics of interest rates, annuities, amoritizations, bonds, returns of investment, and their applications; to be able to do financial valuations by direct calculation, using the financial capacities of calculators and of spreadsheets; and to be able to do problems from the Financial Mathematics exam of the Society of Actuaries (or related sections of the Casualty Actuarial Society examd)(but this is not a comprehensive review of that material.)

Prerequisite MA 2314 with a minimum grade of “C.”
