Note:
 This major meets all knowledge requirements of the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) for eligibility to apply for a supervised practice program in dietetics. In addition to successful completion of a supervised practice program in dietetics, a master’s degree is required to be eligible to write the Registration Examination for Dietitians as of January 1, 2024. All knowledge requirements must be achieved in order to earn a Verification Statement of completion of an accredited Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD.) A minor in distributive science is built into this program of study. All courses required for this major must be completed with a grade of “C” or higher or be repeated; assessments of knowledge requirements must be repeated until successfully passed in order to earn a DPD Verification Statement. |   Return to: Academic Departments
