Imagine House Career Creativity Certificate (12 Hours)
The Imagine House Career Creativity Certificate is an optional certificate program that seeks to address the changing professional landscape confronted by the graduating BFA student. The National Endowment for the Arts Creativity Connects report emphasizes that 21st-century artists must think, work and create in interdisciplinary ways. It also brings attention to growing opportunities for artists in non-traditional environments. The Integrated Creativity Certificate addresses these concerns while serving as a launch pad for entrepreneurial content that can be launched into the marketplace. Students who complete the certificate program can expect to be better prepared to thrive through greater creativity, entrepreneurship, collaborative experiences with both traditional and non-traditional partners, and training in a culture of making while working on big projects for the industry.
The Career Creativity Certificate is centered around 3 classes, (Career Creativity, Entertainment Business, and a Faith and Arts Course) Students will then have 3 1 hour practicum courses where they will be working on projects with marketplace potential that center around interdisciplinary teams. Examples would be an Imagine House Animation practicum where students work on the Dead Sea Squirrels or an Imagine House Fashion Label practicum where students design apparel for a band that is going on tour.
