The BFA in Film Production requires 67 credit hours in the major. The BFA is for students who which to take a deep dive into filmmaking in one or two particular areas such as writing, cinematography, post production & effects etc.. With careful planning, students can also earn a minor in another area. This is a program the requires a lot of time commitment and a high level of work. For a broader education in film production a student may wish to do the BA in Film Production which allows more flexibility in building skills across disciplines.
BFA REQUIREMENTS:
40 hours in required Film courses
3-6 hours in Capstone
9 hours are required in Film Studies
6 hours are required in CEA Electives
6-9 hours of Film Electives
