BMS 5113 - Biomolecular Laboratory I (3) A course designed to give graduate students hands-on experience with techniques common to molecular research laboratories. Students will learn how to perform common research methods and troubleshoot those methods when problems arise. Techniques will include: reverse-transcriptase PCR, basic cell culture, immunostaining and microscopy, and protein interactions and analysis including SDS-Page and western blotting. This laboratory is a foundation for the Biomolecular Lab II and Capstone Project.
