PHIE 2511 - Introductory Pharmacy Practice Experiences III (1)

The Fall semester IPPE-III course requires student pharmacists to complete 3 separate pharmacy practice experiences (5 weeks per experience) at assigned practice sites. Assigned practice sites include community pharmacies, institutional health system pharmacies, and/or specialty pharmacies. Student pharmacists will continue building upon their knowledge and experience from IPPEs I and II, with additional emphasis on: enhanced knowledge of drugs and disease states; enhanced competency in developing a patient plan of care; introduction to implementing a patient plan of care; and interprofessional collaboration with other health care disciplines. Student pharmacists will receive credit for 60 IPPE contact hours.
