EG 5273 - Coaching Models and Practices (3) In this course, candidates will investigate how the research supports a coaching model and the value of coaching in a learning organization. They will develop a personal definition of coaching, investigate various models of coaching, and practice a variety of coaching and questioning strategies. The importance of ethics in coaching, the identification of one’s personal values, and strategies for identifying a teacher clients core values will be emphasized. Students will create coaching agreements, anticipate the phases of a coaching relationship, and learn methods to develop trust and safety in the coaching relationship. Ed.S. sections have additional course assignments.
