PR 6313 - Seminar in Public Relations (3) SP Public Relations (PR) practices include communication on behalf of an individual (e.g., celebrity) or an organization (such as a business, government agency, NGO, healthcare organization, or a not-for-profit organization) with the constituent public(s) which have an implicit or explicit relationship with the individual or organization. This seminar provides a comprehensive introduction to the academic and professional fields of Public Relations (PR) including its development and history as well as a survey of contemporary PR functions, roles, methods, techniques, channels, strategies, tactics, research findings, best practices, the professional PR associations, and PR ethical codes.
