MBA Elective Courses (6 hours)
Students enrolled in the Fast Track 11 cohort will complete six hours of BU 661V (Directed Work Experience) across the program. These DWE hours count as the student’s elective hours. Students will complete this cohort in 11 months (August through May).
Students enrolled in the Fast Track 16 cohort will complete six hours of approved electives in one of two paths. One path is through a Directed Work Experience (BU 661V), taken across three semesters for a total of six hours. A separate path is completion of six hours of electives that may be selected from any courses in the elective listing. Students complete this cohort in 16 months (August of the first year through December of the following year).
Students enrolled in the Professional cohort select six hours of electives from any courses in the elective listing. Students complete this cohort in 22 months (August of the first year through May of the third year).
Courses designated by BU/MAcc/HA 6xxx are offered by the College of Business. The remaining elective courses are offered by other colleges, and specific course timing may not coincide with the MBA schedule.
Students with a desire to focus on Accounting or Finance should complete six hours from the following elective courses: MAcc 6303, MAcc 6403, MAcc 6603, MAcc 6703, MAcc 6712, MAcc 6783, BU 6723, BU 6743, or BU 6753.
Students with a desire to focus on Leadership should complete the following six hours: BU 6A23 and BU 6A33.
Students with a desire to focus on Health Care Management should complete six hours from the following elective courses: BU 6303, BU 6323, BU 6333, HCI 5003, HCI 5103, or HCI 5153.
Students with a desire to focus on Hospitality should complete six hours in courses: HOSP 6000+
