SW 3133 - Human Diversity (3) Fall


This course explores the complexities of human diversity, including, but not limited to, race, ethnicity, class, age, gender, religion, ability, and sexual orientation, and provides an introduction to practices that advance human rights, and promote human justice. The course is designed to increase students’ awareness, knowledge, and understanding of concepts such as bias, power and privilege, and oppression. Through self-reflection and learning from others’ experiences, students will deepen their understanding of the various dimensions of diversity and their own identities.
