NURA 4183 - Virtue, Flourishing, & Vocation in Nursing (3) F


This course explores the integral connection between faith, vocation, and ethical nursing practice, emphasizing the role of values and biblical principles in compassionate patient care. Students will examine the ethical responsibilities of nurses through the lens of Christian teachings, fostering a deeper understanding of service, integrity, and human dignity. By integrating faith-based perspectives with professional nursing standards, the course encourages students to embrace their vocation as a calling to serve, heal, and promote human flourishing. Topics include ethical decision-making, moral leadership, patient advocacy, and the impact of biblical knowledge on holistic care. Through reflection, case studies, and practical application, students will explore the moral and spiritual foundation necessary to navigate the challenges of modern healthcare with wisdom, compassion, and excellence.
