BY 3013 - Ornithology (3) SP offered in alternate years

Ornithology is the study of the diversity of birds. Students will learn the core components of avian physiology, behavior, reproduction, morphology, and taxonomy. Commonalities among all avian taxa will be explored as well as the adaptive value of differences in morphology, behavior, and physiology. Special consideration will be given to local bird species and seasonal migrants passing through Tennessee.
