CMU 3031 - Making Music Communities (1) F, SP

Investigates the history and culture of music-making traditions and practices within specific communities and/or genres. Half the time is spent on academic exploration, half the time playing in an ensemble like the ones being studied, culminating in a final in-class performance.

This course is to be taken for two semesters.
