NUTR 3993 - Vocation and Flourishing in the Health Sciences 3 F

This course emphasizes professional practice in the health sciences as a call to Kingdom vocation. Class discussions will emphasize all agents of flourishing, but particularly the good, the true and the sustainable as we pursue flourishing in health of spirit, mind, and body. The course will examine health and wellbeing holistically, exploring the intersection of spiritual health with mental and physical health and helping students prepare to serve in healthcare in ways that will minister to their patients’ total wellbeing. Additionally, the course will discuss ethical healthcare practice as providers strive for health and wellbeing in their own lives.

This Lipscomb Core requirement may also be fulfilled by KIN 3993, BI 3433, or any other discipline-specific Virtue, Flourishing and Vocation course.
