LJS 3993 - Public Service Vocation and Leadership (3) This capstone Bible course in the LJS program aims to integrate the biblical framework of “Virtue, Vocation and Flourishing” developed throughout a student’s Lipscomb Biblical studies with the calling and skills gained in leadership, public service and/or the law throughout their time in the Law, Justice and Society program. It aims to help students think deeply and begin planning for how their faith and calling will shape and impact their career. Specifically, it will equip students with the essential skills, knowledge, and ethical framework necessary for effective leadership in the legal and public sectors. Through a combination of theoretical study, practical case analyses, and leadership skill-building exercises, the course seeks to prepare future leaders to navigate the complex and dynamic environment of public service with fidelity to Christ and His Kingdom. The class will include guest speakers who are currently engaged in public service as well as field trips to see public service leaders in action.
