ED 1003 - Environments and Experiences for Healthy Child Development (3)


This course introduces students to the essential practices for creating safe, healthy, and developmentally appropriate learning environments for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. Emphasis is placed on strategies that promote physical well-being, prevent injury, and support children’s physical and intellectual development. Students will explore the relationship between environment and learning, including the use of space, materials, and daily routines to foster exploration, problem-solving, and creativity. Through observation, reflection, and hands-on experiences, students will develop the foundational skills needed to support optimal growth and development in early childhood settings.
