ED 1033 - Observing, Documenting, and Understanding Child Development (3)


This course introduces students to effective observation and documentation techniques used to assess young children’s development and learning. Emphasis is placed on objective recording, analysis, and interpretation of behavior within the context of developmental theory and milestones. Students will explore how observation informs curriculum planning, supports individualized instruction, and strengthens communication with families. Through hands-on practice and reflection, students will deepen their understanding of child development across physical, cognitive, social, and emotional domains in this age range.
