ED 3583 - Families and Communities (3)


This course provides early childhood apprentices with the knowledge and skills to build strong, supportive relationships with families and communities, recognizing their vital role in children’s development and learning. The course focuses on understanding the diverse backgrounds and needs of families, while fostering collaboration to create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment for young children. Through on-the-job learning, apprentices will develop strategies to engage families, communicate effectively, and collaborate with community resources to support children’s growth. Emphasis will be placed on cultural competency, respectful communication, and partnership-building, ensuring that families feel valued and included in their children’s educational journey.
