NUTR 4503 - Medical Nutrition Therapy I (3) F

This course is part one of a two-semester course including assessment and evidenced-based application of the Nutrition Care Process for a variety of disease states including cardiac, hepatic, pancreatic and gastrointestinal disorders. This course includes how to adjust food requirements, fluid, nutrients and nutrition support principles for each disease state including the analysis of interactions and how to collaborate with a healthcare team. Prerequisites: BY 2434, BY 2444, NUTR 2613, and NUTR 4623 or permission of instructor.
